An independent search fund

Helping a great business write its next chapter.

I'm looking to buy one established small business from an owner who is ready to step back, and then run it myself for the long term. I want to keep what already works, look after your employees and customers, and build on the legacy you've created.

About Me

Hi, I'm [Your Name].

I founded Merkaba Holdings with a simple goal: to find one great business, become its full-time leader, and help it thrive for decades to come. This isn't a flip. When I buy a company, I'll move into the CEO seat and plan to stay there for the long haul.

For Business Owners

What you can expect from me

Selling the business you built is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make. Here's what matters to me, and what I'll commit to throughout the process.

Your legacy continues

I'm not looking to strip the business down or resell it. I'll keep the name, the culture, and the values your customers already trust.

Your team is taken care of

Your employees are the heart of the company. My plan is to retain and invest in your people, not replace them.

A transition on your terms

Whether you want to step away quickly or stay on to help for a while, we'll build a handoff plan that fits your goals and timeline.

Complete confidentiality

Every conversation stays between us. I'm happy to sign an NDA before you share any details, and I'll never contact your employees, customers, or vendors without your OK.

A fair, straightforward deal

I'll be transparent about how I value the business and how the purchase is financed, so there are no surprises late in the process.

One buyer, fully committed

I'm not juggling a portfolio. Your business would be my only focus and my full-time job.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a search fund?

A search fund is a way for an individual to find, buy, and personally run one established small business. Unlike a private equity firm, a searcher becomes the full-time CEO of the company they buy and typically plans to own it for many years.

What does "self-funded" mean?

It means I'm funding my search myself instead of raising money from outside investors up front. For the purchase itself, I use a combination of SBA-backed bank loans, my own equity, and sometimes seller financing. Because I answer to no investment committee, I can be flexible on deal structure and move quickly.

Will you keep my employees?

Yes. A business is only as strong as its people, and I'm buying yours because it already works. I plan to keep your team in place and invest in their growth.

How long do I need to stay after the sale?

That's up to you. Most transitions last anywhere from a few months to a year, and we'll agree on the details together before closing.

How is the purchase financed?

Most acquisitions I pursue are financed through an SBA 7(a) loan, my own equity investment, and in some cases a seller note. I'll explain the structure clearly in any offer so you know exactly how and when you'll be paid.

Is our conversation confidential?

Absolutely. I'll never share that we've spoken, and I'm happy to sign an NDA before any business details are exchanged.
